Donor Stewardship Assistant

The Stewardship department is responsible for ensuring donors are properly acknowledged and understand the impact of their giving.  The Donor Stewardship Assistant will help ensure the success of the processes required to welcome, thank and report impact to donors. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks such as communicating with students and UMF staff, putting together mailings, entering data, proofreading and making sure special errands are completed.  You will assist the Director of Stewardship and Assistant Director of Stewardship with the launch of new donor recognition initiatives, the student scholarship thank you letter process, President’s Club implementation, and the maintenance of a donor gift closet.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines;

  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to proofread and edit important publications

  • Excellent attention to detail;

  • Dependable, reliable, and organized;

  • Proficiency with operation of basic office equipment such as a computer and printer;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;

  • Excellent critical thinking skills;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Able to work well with others;

  • A clear understanding of the need for confidentiality.

  • Current University of Montana student (preference given to currently enrolled Davidson Honors College students).
